Local for Lunch: Berry Bonanza

Saturday, June 10th, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

$10 | $5 owners

Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries — it’s berries everywhere. Hooray! Home cook and food writer Christina Nifong will stir up some unexpected ways to eat these stars of summer. Think: berries in your salad, berry Spring Rolls, berry “soup” and more! We’ll share a lunch, talk about where to get local berries and how to eat them once you’ve got them. Plan to take home recipes and resources to use throughout the season.

Sugar Shenanigans

Thursday, June 22nd, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

We could all stand to cut down on our sugar intake. Sugar is hiding under lots of sneaky names in many of the foods we eat every day. Find out what to look for, what to avoid, and what some healthy sugar alternatives are. Are you as savvy about sugar as you think you are? Mary Brewer, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Registered Nurse with more than 20 years experience in health care, will be your instructor for this sweet class!

We’ll have more classes to come soon! Check back again soon!
